Boundaries Are Not Ungodly—They Are Wise

Somewhere along the way, many bonus moms were taught that love equals unlimited availability. That if you’re “doing this right,” you’ll sacrifice endlessly and never complain.
But burnout is not holiness.
Boundaries are not a lack of love—they are evidence of wisdom.
Jesus rested.
Jesus withdrew.
Jesus didn’t meet every demand placed on Him.

So why do we feel guilty for needing limits?
Healthy boundaries allow you to show up with clarity rather than resentment. They protect your emotional and spiritual health and help others understand what is—and isn’t—yours to carry.
You can be compassionate without being consumed.
Supportive without being stretched thin.
Saying “this is my limit” isn’t selfish. It’s an act of stewardship over the life God entrusted to you.
And you don’t have to wait until you’re exhausted to honor your needs.
